Rödental – Day after day, the bakery baked rolls and bread for the people in Weidach, Rödental, Ebersdorf and Einberg – for 18 years.

Now it's over for the craft parlor in the Upper Franconian district of Coburg.

After the Heimann bakery had to file for bankruptcy in the spring, it was now time to say goodbye to all branches.

The problems started with Corona and the energy crisis continued almost seamlessly.

The baker from Bavaria now says goodbye with an emotional post on Facebook.

"Dear customers, dear employees, tomorrow is the last day.

It's very heavy for us," Heimann begins the post.

Special thanks go to the customers for their loyalty and kind words.

"We were simply overwhelmed by so much kind words and consolation that we received," says Facebook.

The employees have already been thanked, "cried together" and said goodbye.

“It hurts a lot that we have to close”.

Nevertheless, "we wouldn't have managed all this without you in the last few years," Heimann said to the employees.

Many customers and friends of the bakery also express themselves emotionally under the Facebook post.

"We are very sad.

Our dad loved working for you and always talked about the great working atmosphere.

At the time of his illness, there was incredible understanding," commented one user.

The response from the Heimann bakery moved us to tears: "Klaus was a great person.

His picture still hangs in my office.

We miss him very much."

Many customers will particularly miss the products from the bakery.

"It's a pity.

The heir men, the mill bread and the great ice cream - everything is so delicious and now it shouldn't be there anymore.

The village bakery in Wombach in the Spessart had to be closed for health reasons.

But local residents rushed to the rescue.
