"Since it has often happened that interested parties cancel because of the breed, we ask that you inform yourself well in advance and that you are aware of what mix an Akita - Border Collie is," the animal shelter continues.
Because besides Rica, other puppies of this breed are looking for a home.
Rica is looking for people with dog experience who will lovingly but consistently teach her the basics of dogs.
She is not yet housebroken, as the shelter reports in the Facebook post.
In addition, she only knew the animal shelter so far.

“Wow, the mixture certainly has it all.
But with the right upbringing and discipline, it should be easy to master," a woman commented on the Facebook post.
“Akitas are dogs that act very independently and want to see meaning in what is asked of them.
The Border Collie is a very active 'working dog' that needs mental encouragement.
I find this mix of both breeds to be challenging, but in the right hands makes a super great companion," wrote another person.

The same applies to other animals: Pepper is only ten months old and has been waiting for a family at the animal shelter for months.
