When it comes to home design, the common assumption is that a comprehensive renovation is the only option to bring about a significant change, but in practice, sometimes one small element is enough to completely change the atmosphere

Just perfection.

In recent years, the field of home design has risen high to the top of our Israeli priorities, and even those who until recently were light years away from the subject are making eights in the air to turn their little piece of God into an enveloping and pleasant place.

From Copenhagen through Milan to Los Angeles - we are all exposed to the trends that dominate the showrooms, the big boutiques and the homes of the big stars and immediately run to copy paste in our homes.

The word 'renovation' in itself evokes antagonism and translates to a waste of time, resources and nerves, and if possible, then why not make a big change with touches of color, furniture, textiles, accessories and small-big details.

So if you too are planning to go on an adventure even before this summer but don't really know where to start, from conversations we had with designers it seems that everyone's recommendation is to see this process as a reorganization in which you emphasize what is right and worth emphasizing.

In their view, it is not the walls that define the spaces, but rather the items and elements that produce the dynamics.

If they are well made, they have added value and they also manage to excite and give character to a space - the power goes to the items.

The eye focuses on them instead of the elements we might want to humble.

Sometimes you really don't need too much.

According to the architect Lilian Ben Shoham, examining the existing will allow you to put your finger exactly on the areas that require a refresh or a boost of color and atmosphere: "Wallpapers, carpets, pillows and curtains are a fantastic tool to succeed in the task. If we take the living room as an example, which is seen as one of the most important spaces in the house , the upgrade does not have to stop at the color of the walls. It is quite easy to create a real transformation even if we manage to combine an impressive armchair with upholstery with an impressive texture or pattern, referring of course to the style and colors of the space.

"Pillows are an item that is very simple to change and replace and their colors are recommended in one way or another to relate to the colors of the walls and/or the floor to create harmony in the space. One thing is certain: the days when we purchased all the design details as a set have passed away, the boutiques and online stores are loaded with plenty of items and accessories And it's really easy to turn any generic space into another and unique one using the mix & match method. Sometimes it's a bit challenging, but it actually allows us to create a living environment that fits the lifestyles, tastes and preferences of each and every member of the house."

News from the design week.

The design week in Milan that concluded this month also brought with it quite a bit of news in the field: "The fact that sanitary ware, and in particular designed faucets, are a fantastic tool for bringing about fundamental changes in bathrooms and kitchens is not new, but at the exhibition we saw that the big brands took this trend a few more steps forward", so According to Adi Lavie, MODY's VP of Marketing. "These are small elements that are used as jewelry for everything and thanks to the advanced production technologies, alongside nickel or brushed brass faucets, today you can find faucets made of non-standard materials such as marble or those inlaid with Swarovski stones.

They boost the visibility of the wet space and even though it is a small product, the possibilities that can be produced with it are completely unlimited."

Dramatic, dark and luxurious.

Indeed, it seems that the advanced manufacturing technologies are largely responsible for the fact that the field of design has developed significantly and at the same time has become much more accessible.

Thanks to those small details, the wardrobes have turned from massive blocks that we all want to hide to the big stars of the closets and bedrooms: "The areas that were considered modest have become centers of attraction in recent years," explains Tamir Raz, CEO of Delkov Wardrobes. "Let's take as an example the transparent wardrobes that until a few years ago were considered a product that only the bold chose.

Today, when the wardrobes become display cabinets, the ambition is to make the clothes, shoes and accessories accessible in a transparent, accessible and tangible way.

Extra high transparent glass doors, without divisions and stripes, produce a significant change in the space and are available in three shades (transparent, transparent-brown and transparent-gray) which are produced by a chemical process.

Together with the internal lighting that is installed in the body of the cabinet, the model 2023 cabinets are a dynamic product that affects the entire space and has the power to give it a dramatic, dark and luxurious look."

Without many items, the space is inviting and comfortable.

From the bedrooms, the bathroom and the kitchen back to the dining areas and living rooms: according to Orli Gohar Ben-Harosh, the home designer of ellita living, we are not always aware of this, but small details can really make all the difference: "Sometimes these are really small nuances that can upgrade the environment Our living room goes from 'ordinary and casual' to 'meaningful' - these can be the tailoring in the seating system that turns a classy and classic piece into a truly valuable piece. The trick is not to exaggerate and not to be tempted to combine items that may look successful in the store but actually draw all the energy in the space to themselves. The secret It is balanced and sometimes a powerful light fixture or even a coffee table with a smooth plate and interesting legs is enough to turn the space into a celebration."
