A baby hidden among mountains of clothes and an irate neighbor: this was the massacre in Cleveland, Texas

Wilson García has narrated how two women buried their young children in mountains of clothes to hide them when Francisco Oropesa Pérez-Torres entered their house and began shooting.

The two women died, but managed to save the lives of a two-year-old girl and a month-and-a-half-old baby.

Last Friday in a Cleveland,

neighborhood , Garcia walked up to his neighbor and asked him to stop firing his gun because his baby was crying.

Oropesa refused and began to threaten them.

The Garcia family called the police at least five times, to the growing fury of their armed neighbor.

Nobody answered.

Soon after, Oropesa took his rifle and executed five people, including a nine-year-old boy.

Until now, Oropesa is a fugitive and the authorities have acknowledged that they have no clues about his whereabouts.

To help, neighbors have placed banners with the fugitive's face around the neighborhood.

The nationality of the attacker and the victims has also been a controversial issue.

Gov. Greg Abbott said in a statement, where he is offering a $50,000 reward for the shooter, that the victims were illegal immigrants.

However, there is evidence that at least one of the deceased women was a legal resident of the State.

Oropesa, for his part, had been deported at least four times before the shooting.
