The inmate in Juntos por el Cambio heats up: Jorge Macri warned that he will be a candidate "no matter what"

The inmate of Juntos por el Cambio remains tense and the Buenos Aires Government Minister, Jorge Macri, warned this Monday that he will not drop his candidacy after the possibility that the deputy María Eugenia Vidal would compete in the City instead of competing in the national

"I am going to be a candidate for the PRO, whoever goes," warned Jorge Macri, who felt affected by the decision of the head of government, Horacio Rodríguez Larreta, to call concurrent elections in the Buenos Aires district.

Macri even tried to tone down the version of a possible Vidal candidacy in the City.

"María Eugenia, for now, at least she is a national candidate, we must not upload her to the City before she decides," remarked the mayor of Vicente López on leave.

The truth is that the meeting between the head of government and the head of radicalismo takes place in a context where the macrismo tries to close an image of unity after the short circuit that occurred with Mauricio Macri, Patricia Bullrich and María Eugenia Vidal by the decision of call concurrent elections in the City.

The president of the PRO spoke of the possible agreement with Milei: from the "legislative agreements" to the objections to two libertarian projects

Federico Angelini marked territory for Javier Milei.

Federico Angelini was left in charge of the opposition party, instead of the lawyer Patricia Bullrich, dedicated to the electoral campaign.

This Sunday, the national deputy said that "surely" there will be "legislative agreements" with his colleague from La Libertad Avanza but questioned a central initiative of the economist.

In that sense, he added that he prefers to discuss projects with "people close to the ideas of freedom than with Heller and Massa."

But he sowed doubts about his most bombastic projects.

"Generating the feeling in society that you earn 20,000 pesos and that you start to earn a similar figure in dollars, simply because you are going to dollarize the economy, is very difficult," he said in Futurock.

"And aside," Angelini continued, "what successful country eliminated the Central Bank? It's a theory, it wasn't done in any successful country in the world."

The main political leaders in the campaign greeted Santiago Peña, president-elect of Paraguay

Both from the ruling party and from the opposition, the main political leaders sent their greetings and congratulations to Santiago Peña, who this Sunday was elected president of Paraguay.

"As I have just stated to the president-elect, I am confident that we will be able to work together starting in December to deepen our relations and promote a region that is more integrated with the world," Rodríguez Larreta said on his Twitter account.

"Congratulations to @SantiPenap, President-elect of Paraguay and the Colorado Party for this victory! Good news from Paraguay for the region," wrote Mauricio Macri.

Meanwhile, Patricia Bullrich, pre-candidate for president for the hard wing of the PRO, wrote: "We salute @SantiPenap, the new president-elect of Paraguay. We are sure that we have the same ideas of development and progress to work as a team."

From radicalism, the pre-candidate Gerardo Morales specified: "Congratulations on the victory, @SantiPenap, president-elect of the sister Republic of Paraguay. A fact that consolidates the democratic process in the region and opens new opportunities to advance in the integration of our nations ".

Meanwhile, from the ruling party, Alberto Fernández indicated that he contacted Peña to send him his congratulations on the victory.

Robbery, breathalyzer control and controversy: the hectic early morning of a candidate for mayor of Casilda

Germán Zarantonello, with Miguel Ángel Pichetto, hours before the robbery episode, breathalyzer control and complaint in Casilda.

Photo Twitter

Germán Zarantonello is a Casilda councilor and is now running for mayor of that town in Santa Fe, the birthplace of Franco Armani, Jorge Sampaoli and the luxury car manufacturer Horacio Pagani.

This weekend was to be one more in his campaign within Together for Change, including the visit on Saturday made by Miguel Ángel Pichetto.

However, it all ended in

robbery, alarm and controversy

in a breathalyzer control.

On Saturday at 2:30 a.m., the alarms of the greengrocer that Zarantonello has in the center of the city sounded.

Upon arriving at the place, he discovered the

broken glass of the premises

.

It is not the first time it has happened to him: he already suffered it in 2015 and 2018. In addition,

$170,000 was stolen

from a car parked in front of the store.

When he began to return home, around 4:30 a.m., he was stopped by a

breathalyzer test

.

"They stop me, they ask me for the documents and they ask me to carry out the breathalyzer control, which I agree to and they do it four times, since I did not give it to them," Zarantonello, from the Pichettista Federal Republican Meeting Santa Fe,

told

Casilda

Plus

.

Dinner had been washed down with wine, as he himself claimed.

The

controversy

is because he would have refused to blow in the proper way, according to what he transcended.

He denied it: he said that he did not refuse the test or try to elope.

And

he sowed suspicion

about the connection of one of the agents with his radical rival Mauricio Maroevich.

"Inspector Toledo, mother of a Maroevich secretary, insisted on continuing to do so, she hoped to see the positive, but since it did not work, they kept me for a few minutes," the candidate continued her explanation.

He said it was logical that he tested positive and that he was held for "half an hour" in the place.

"It's all very strange, it came from a robbery and then this. I suspect that there are those who

are operating against me

," Zarantonello suggested to the local media

La Nueva Senda

.

He announced that he will make the complaint and request the resignation of the agents involved and the director of Casilda Traffic, Jorge Arias.

In addition, he received the support of Pichetto, who described the episode as a "very serious act of violence."

Rodríguez Larreta showed up with Frigerio in Entre Ríos and promised to lower the withholdings on agriculture
