Social movements, political and union organizations carry out different acts and activities this Monday to commemorate
International Workers' Day
and against "the conditions of the International Monetary Fund".
Social movements such as UTEP, Somos Barrios de Pie, the Evita Movement, the Classist and Combative Current and the Autonomous CTA gathered together in a "unity" march starting at 12 from different parts of the city to march "against IMF conditions".
Due to this demonstration,

to vehicular traffic until the end of the act.

"This first of May is a day of struggle for the labor movement. We are at a time when thousands of workers in a dependency relationship are poor and the workers of the popular economy are having a hard time," stressed the assistant secretary of UTEP, Dina Sánchez, and affirmed that "it is time to respond to the internal debt and stop prioritizing the IMF".
"Today, the workers and workers united meet in the streets to make the IMF leave and to create political conditions for a policy based on sovereignty and social justice to govern in our country," said social leader Hugo ' Cachorro' Godoy when participating in the concentration.

For their part, the militants of the Social Bloc for Work - made up of the National Federation of Workers (FNT) and the Milagro Sala Front - met early in the morning at the intersection of Belgrano and 9 de Julio avenues with popular pots "against the IMF adjustment" and for "an agenda for decent work" to later accompany a mobilization to Plaza de Mayo.
The leader Alejandro "Coco" Garfagnini" considered "very painful to have to celebrate Labor Day without work making pot" and valued that being on the street "is very important."

commemorated the date with a popular locro at the Monteverde Development Society in Florencio Varela starting at 12:30 p.m. together with organizations and social movements that are part of the central.
"It is a day for us to commemorate and remember the struggles of workers that allowed us to have laws and labor rights. These are achievements that were denied in other parts of the world," Yasky said in statements to the Télam news agency.
Meanwhile, the parties grouped in the
Left Unity Front (FIU) march from 3:00 p.m. to Plaza de Mayo
where they will hold a "worker and internationalist act" and in which Clément Allochon, a young French railway worker who is part of the fight against the reforms of the Government of Emmanuel Macron in that country.
Likewise, the Nuevo Más, led by Manuela Castañeira, holds a National Convention at the Picadero Theater, located a few meters from Callao and Corrientes avenues, in downtown Buenos Aires, where "the call for a STEP from the left will be ratified" and a "alternative economic program".
The referents of Labor Policy Jorge Altamira and Marcelo Ramal also called for an act starting at 3:00 p.m. in Parque Lezama, in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of San Telmo.
