, we shed light on the ideological attack on science taking place behind the scenes of universities, science publishing houses, and funding institutes and agencies such as as the National Institute of Health (NIH) and the US National Science Foundation (NSF).
The notion of merit has become politically incorrect because it would perpetuate inequalities, in particular by excluding social minorities (ethnic, sexual or gendered, religious, etc.) from various sectors of society and in particular from universities and scientific institutions.
