A captain to raise the bar.
Having resigned against all odds from the head of the British telecoms giant Vodafone last December, the group's ex-boss, Nick Read, knows his successor.

Former financial director and acting general manager since January, the latter was confirmed in the position last week.
The Italian is a veteran of the house.
She entered it in the 1990s through the transalpine branch of the British Empire and takes the reins of a group of 45 billion euros, present in 21 countries and counting 300 million customers.
Some rumors, however, pushed for an external candidacy to breathe new life into it, after four years of stagnation under the leadership of Nick Read.
