50 days after the closing of the lists, and in the midst of the internal struggle with Patricia Bullrich in the PRO, Horacio Rodríguez Larreta and Diego Santilli led a meeting with pre-candidates for mayors of the Buenos Aires suburbs.
Negotiations in the main district of the country have accelerated
in recent days
, based on signs of an upcoming announcement by María Eugenia Vidal and the hypothesis that Axel Kicillof splits the provincial general elections from the national ones.
“We are all preparing to govern, to change this country, this province.
For each issue we have a plan and a team that is working," Rodríguez Larreta remarked in an Esteban Echeverría property, with another image in which
he sought to show political volume
in a determining territory.
The Buenos Aires head of government displayed his speech as a presidential candidate, and assured that he will "end social plans" and "lower inflation" by increasing exports and "taking over markets" due to the war between Russia and Ukraine.
"I am going to close the doors of the Central Bank
, so that it has independence so that the Government, when it spends more or does it in an inefficient way, cannot go knocking on the door to ask for money," he differed from the slogan of eliminating the organization, vociferated by Javier Milei.
The meeting was attended by Mayor Diego Valenzuela (Tres de Febrero), coordinator of the technical teams, and 30 applicants in municipalities controlled by Peronism, such as Martiniano Molina (Quilmes), Lucas Delfino (Hurlingham), Gastón Di Castelnuovo (Ituzaingó), Lucas Aparicio (Malvinas Argentinas) and Florencia Casamiquela (Florencio Varela).
Santilli ratified his alignment with Rodríguez Larreta, given the versions that the PRO referents could explore the possibility of an agreement to unify a candidate to dispute the succession of Kicillof.
“I have known Horacio for 20 years and for me he is the best of our generation”
, praised his former deputy boss from Buenos Aires, and pondered the competition in the PASO: “he is the healthiest.

On Bullrich's side, Néstor Grindetti, Joaquín de la Torre and Javier Iguacel claim to be his candidate in the province.
The former head of the PRO takes her time to define it, once Vidal announces his decision not to compete for the presidency.

, and in that case Cristian Ritondo would become another of Bullrich's possible candidates.

PASO unified and generals unfolded?
In turn, the chance for the Frente de Todos to split the Buenos Aires generals functioned as an argument for those who are pressing to unify the candidacy.
Kicillof confirmed the PASO for August 13, the same date as the national ones, but did not call the general ones.
"They are two independent electoral acts"

“If a candidate wins in the PASO by dragging the ballot for president and then Kicillof splits, what do we do?

The only requirement will be to call 90 days in advance.
In the opposition coalition they warned that

Even so, Rodríguez Larreta leans towards competition.

“Why am I going to give you my political capital if you support Larreta?

The same reasoning applies to the gubernatorial candidate.
