King Charles will officially be crowned king on Saturday, and ahead of the special event, there is record excitement on the British island, which also includes the production of various souvenirs.

One of the most special and unusual souvenirs prepared for the coronation is of a life-size chocolate statue of the new king. The chocolate, which weighs no less than 23 kilograms, was produced by Mars' team of chocolatiers, who used various products of the company as raw material for the sculpture.

Work on the sweet sculpture took 130 hours and spanned four weeks. The head of the expanded team for its preparation is chocolate expert Jennifer Lindsay-Clark. According to a Mars statement, 17 liters of melted chocolate were used in the sculpture's production, the equivalent of about 2,875 individual chocolates. By the way, it is worth knowing that each part of the statue was created from a different chocolate product: the king's shoulders were created from Twix chocolates, Milky Way bars, Galaxy and Bounty; The collar is made from Maltizers chocolate; And the medals on the chest were made from different types of chocolate found in different company bags, such as sneakers.

"There is no better way to mark King Charles' coronation than with the country's ultimate indulgent chocolate product," said Emily Owen, the company's senior brand manager. "The team was happy with the end result. The team spent hours studying photographs of the king to capture his true image, and the statue's resemblance to the real king is striking. We are excited to share this event with all chocolate lovers in the Kingdom."

By the way, if you want to see the statue, you can do so – but to do so you will have to go to the Mars headquarters in the UK, which is located in the city of Slough in southeastern Britain.
