The Chief of Cabinet, Agustín Rossi, insisted on Monday that the Frente de Todos settle the candidacies in the Simultaneous and Mandatory Open Primaries, instead of looking for a single candidate as promoted by a sector of Kirchnerism.

"The scenario today of the Frente de Todos is closer to a PASO than to a consensus list. It is not configured who are those who are going to compete and there is still more water to pass under the bridge so that things are definitive, "he said in a dialogue with El Destape radio.

The national official asked to be "respectful" of the internal dynamics of the government coalition and assured that if a "natural synthesis" is not generated in the formation of a single list, the logical thing is that the candidates compete in the Primaries.

In addition, he proposed having a "code of coexistence" so that during the electoral campaign some "natural basic rules" are respected, such as that there are no "low blows", personal disqualifications and Chicanas, but proposals and ideas.

"If we manage to make a PASO of these characteristics, it will allow us to have a virtuous internal, that after the PASO will lead us to have the candidate who emerges strongly strengthened," he added.

Rossi pointed out that the same strategy should be applied in the province of Buenos Aires, through a consensus candidacy.

"If a criterion of these characteristics is defined, it would be reasonable, if in the Province there is consensus with all the candidacies, it does not seem logical to me to break the agreement from the national candidacies, but that this agreement can be expressed in the different national candidacies that may exist," he said.

When asked about his presidential candidacy, he replied that he will wait until May 16 when the Justicialist Party congress is held to define. "What I receive from different places, colleagues, friends, surveys, excites me about that possibility," he said of his candidacy.

On Sunday, Rossi had assured that if Vice President Cristina Kirchner finally decides to run for president, he will not compete, but otherwise he wants to participate in the Primaries.

Economy Minister Sergio Massa is one of the names that sounds like an eventual consensus candidate, to avoid being divided in the PASO.

The Ambassador of Brazil, Daniel Scioli; Interior Minister Eduardo Wado De Pedro are other names on the list of presidential candidates of the government coalition, which awaits the definition of the former president.
