In the shadow of the stalled negotiations at the president's residence, Avigdor Lieberman, chairman of Yisrael Beiteinu, called on Lapid and Gantz on Monday morning to leave the talks immediately, even hinting that as long as they remain in the discussion rooms, they serve Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who wants quiet until the state budget is approved.
"I call on them to stop the negotiations immediately. All Netanyahu wants is to drag them until the budget is approved," he said. "From the outset, it was clear that this was not a negotiation but a blame game, and by their participation they were legitimizing something patently illegitimate."

Last Thursday, the negotiating teams of the coalition, Yesh Atid and the state camp met to continue the negotiations. The parties discussed the issue of reasonableness and improving service to citizens, thus concluding the first round of discussions on all issues.
The purpose of the first round of discussions that ended was to enable the parties to present their positions on the various issues in a broad, detailed and reasoned manner. A statement from the President's House said, "The discussions were conducted in a serious, thorough and thorough manner, appropriately on issues of governance and law that affect the character of the state. The discussions are expected to continue with full commitment to trying to reach broad agreements that will prevent further disputes and the crisis."
