The European nobility is worried about King Harald V of Norway. He was taken to a hospital. The reason is said to be an infection.
Oslo - Just a few days ago, the royals in Europe celebrated the coronation of King Charles in London. Now there is great concern about another crowned head: King Harald V of Norway has been hospitalized.
This has now been officially announced by the palace. Accordingly, Harald V. has to spend a few days in the hospital again. The 86-year-old monarch was again diagnosed with an infection that needs to be treated, as the Norwegian royal family announced in Oslo on Monday. He was therefore on sick leave and taken to the Oslo Reich Hospital, his condition was stable. His participation in a commemoration of the anniversary of the liberation of Norway from Nazi occupation scheduled for Monday was canceled. Initially, nothing was changed in the rest of his program for the following period.

Harald, who has been King of Norway for 32 years, has repeatedly struggled with health problems in recent years. He was also hospitalized for infections in December and August last year. Other reasons for his hospital stays in recent years were a corona infection, knee surgery and heart surgery, as well as breathing problems.

At the ceremonial coronation of the British King Charles III, Harald was represented by his son, Crown Prince Haakon, and his wife Mette-Marit in London on Saturday. The heir to the throne is now also stepping in at the celebrations commemorating the liberation of the country and Europe from Nazi Germany this Monday.
