Diyar Omari, 19, who was shot Saturday night at the entrance to Gan Ner, was earlier laid to rest in the village of Sandela, where he lived. The funeral was attended by thousands, some of whom were seen waving Palestinian and Islamic Movement flags. During the funeral procession, some shouted "Justice for Diar."
Following the extension of the detention of the suspected shooter in Gan Ner: arson began at noon in the vicinity of the nearby community, the 19-year-old was killed last night.

The young man from the village of Sandela was shot dead last night at the entrance to the community following a fight that developed with the community's residents. The incident raised tensions between Gan Ner residents and residents of the village and even led to clashes after the arrest of the suspected shooter, Dennis Bukin. During the clashes, stones were thrown, injuring a policewoman and a 45-year-old man.

According to the assessment of various security sources, ahead of the funeral, which took place today at 16:00 P.M., another escalation was observed between the Jewish and Arab residents of the area. Nir Ben Shimol, chief security officer of Gan Ner and a member of the National Federation of Rabbis, said that they expect the defense establishment not to let them deal with the situation alone, even if it is an incident that began as a criminal incident.
"Unfortunately, we are experiencing an escalation that is reflected in various arson attacks that began in the last hour, the CSCs are not supposed to deal with criminal incidents, but we will not abandon the security of civilians. The Defense Ministry is expected that just as we do not abandon the residents of the region, so they will not abandon us. We are tired of being nothing more than a "security component." The Rashbatz must not continue to be Israel's punching bag," he said.
"Murder of a little boy": riot at hearing to extend Denis Bukin's detention
Bukin, the suspect whose detention was extended this morning, is a 32-year-old man who lives in Gan Ner. During the hearing, family members of the young man, Dirar Omari, about 19, burst out at the suspect and called him "the murder of a little boy." An examination conducted by the shooter, Bukin, a veteran of a reconnaissance unit, found a large amount of alcohol in his blood.
