Imran Khan, the former prime minister of Pakistan, was arrested today inside a court in Islamabad on suspicion of corruption.

Fawad Chaudhry, a senior official in Khan's party, said he had been detained by agents of an anti-corruption government body.

He then lost a vote of no confidence. He claimed his ouster was illegal and a Western conspiracy. He recently took action against his successor, Shahbaz Sharif, and demanded early elections.
