Operation Shield and Arrow against Islamic Jihad in Gaza began Monday night (Monday-Tuesday) and drew reactions from the political establishment.
After boycotting the votes and government meetings due to what they believed was an unsatisfactory response in Gaza, Otzma Yehudit ministers announced that the boycott in the government would be stopped immediately.
When the operation began, National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir tweeted: "The time has come," referring to the beginning of an operation in Gaza.

MK Almog Cohen, a member of his party, also said this morning: "I congratulate the IDF and the Shin Bet for a successful and precise operation in the elimination of the Gaza Strip, I thank Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Galant for an important action and closing the account against those who tried to harm the residents of the Negev and the envelope.
"On behalf of hundreds of thousands of residents of the Negev, I say clearly: You have all the credit from us to act and fight terrorism until quiet is restored."
