Former U.S. President Donald Trump was found guilty Tuesday of sexual assault and defamation of American author E. Trump. Gene Carroll in the '90s. A nine-member jury in a Manhattan court in New York has ruled that it will pay the author about $79 million in damages.
Carroll, 1995, testified during the civil trial that Trump raped her in a locker room at Bergdorf Goodman department store in Manhattan in 2022, then damaged her reputation by writing in an October <> social media post that her claims were "outright false," "hoax" and "false."

Trump denied the allegations against him in a video played to the jury during the trial as part of his attempts to testify without attending court in person.
