Bercy had been brooding him for months. Constantly postponed by the long sequence of pensions, the "great plan to fight against all fraud" was unveiled Tuesday by the Minister of Public Accounts, Gabriel Attal. The first part concerns tax fraud, a second part will follow on social fraud. For this first chapter, the government intends to make "pay what they owe to the ultra-rich and multinationals".
Supported by the President of the Republic, the plan aims to increase resources, particularly human resources. By the end of the five-year term, 1500 more staff will be devoted to the fight against tax fraud, an increase of 15%, according to Bercy. These new arms will essentially be used to increase tax controls on the wealthiest households and large companies.
