It is 21 p.m. on April 24, when the Minister of National Education returns to Paris. After a day spent on the ground and already disrupted by opponents of the pension reform, Pap Ndiaye finds himself once again confronted with the anger of the protesters. At the Gare de Lyon in the capital, dozens of demonstrators gathered to provide him with a most hostile welcome, punctuated by the sound of pots and pans and protest slogans.
Seeing that the gathering did not disperse, the member of the government was finally exfiltrated from his train by police forces. The incident is closed, but the image is strong. It shows a minister on the run, preferring the discreet exit to contact with the most uplifted.
At least that's how the scene is interpreted. By his opponents first, but by members of the presidential majority too, seeing this sequence as an illustration of Pap Ndiaye's character. Because since his entry into government, the criticism...
