Private institutions under contract accused of perpetuating social segregation and summoned to make efforts. It is in these terms that the debate on coeducation in schools, a declared priority of Minister Pap Ndiaye, has been posed since the publication of the social positioning indices (SPI) of colleges in October. Eagerly awaited on the left and right on the possible constraints that could weigh on private education under contract, Pap Ndiaye is in a very uncomfortable position at the time of announcements. Far from being thunderous, they will take the form, this Thursday, of a communication to rectors who will be assigned objectives to improve gender diversity at the start of the 2023 academic year. As for the "protocol" on which the minister has been working for several weeks with Catholic education - which represents the overwhelming majority of private under contract - it will only be unveiled in a few days, around May 17.
