The exponential growth shown in the polls by Javier Milei could have an obstacle from the institutional if he does not regularize in time and form a conflict that generates tension in the libertarian internal.
A month after the closing of alliances, the economist is not assured of being able to compete with his space La Libertad Avanza, which could cause complications in the assembly of the provincial lists and even in his own presidential adventure.
In April, with the libertarian operator Carlos Kikuchi as a nexus, Milei advanced with the registration of his front, composed of three parties with national representation: Blue and White Union, Federal Renovator and Democrat. It was an advance, but there are those who believe that it is not enough to secure the seal, which other parties with libertarian ideals have been demanding in the electoral justice.

But Milei would have found an alternative and would have defined to put his label "Javier Milei 2023". The decision will be made next month, before June 14, when the deadline to register electoral alliances closes.
"The situation is different from that of 2021, when La Libertad Avanza was the name of an electoral alliance in the City of Buenos Aires and not of a national front as it pretends to be in these elections," say judicial sources, who believe that the imbroglio will be solved, but that it will depend on the resolution of the multiple libertarian fronts that exist in the country.
In that sense, they assure that at the provincial level Milei only has firm representation in La Rioja, where last Sunday Martin Menem competed in the elections for governor, finishing third with 15.5% of the votes, behind Kirchnerism and Together for Change.
"They live fighting between the parties that claim to be libertarian, they have a great level of conflict and not all respond to Milei as a leader," they say in a judicial office, from where they anticipate that if there is no turn in the situation, 30 days from now they will have to change their name.
In the Justice, they consider it key to resolve an eventual conflict over the ownership of the leitmotiv La Libertad Avanza, because they understand that Milei is going to be a central protagonist of the national election. "You have to make sure they are within the system and compete normally," they say.
From La Libertad Avanza they consider that everything is in order, since the space led by Milei agreed to add the Blue and White Union, the Democratic Party and the Federal Renewal Party, which have representation in at least five provinces, as marked by the electoral codes.
However, in this context, there is a tempting plan B, which Milei himself develops. that the front is called "Javier Milei 2023", a slogan that has already been used in social networks.
Government-guaranteed budget
At the end of April, at the headquarters of the National Electoral Chamber, there was a meeting between Interior Minister Eduardo de Pedro and the head of the same, Santiago Corcuera, which was also joined by the Secretary of Finance of the Nation. Raul Rigo.
Judicial sources emphasize that it was the first time that someone from the Treasury approached in the run-up to an election, to guarantee that, in the face of the increase in costs that the election will demand due to the rise in inflation.
This increase in resources was already reflected in the Open Budget page, where transfers to the program "Impulse to the Development of the Democratic System and Community Relations" are followed, which went from having $ 56,377 million in funds to $ 91,498 million, an increase of more than 60%.
Most of these resources are handled by the Argentine Post Office, in charge of the electoral operation in almost the entire country, but they are controlled by the Justice. The other leg in the organizational corresponds to the so-called Electoral Command, under the Ministry of Security.
Alert for the concurrent Buenos Aires election
The decision of Horacio Rodríguez Larreta to split the Buenos Aires elections and make them concurrent to those of the Nation, through the Single Electronic Ballot system, is another issue that generates some alert in the electoral justice.
On August 13 and October 22 you will be voting, simultaneously, in two different ways in City. On the one hand, the presidential elections will be with Paper Ballot, and those that define the local authorities, electronically.
The concern has to do with how the oversight of the elections will be carried out, especially considering that the polling station authorities will have to be trained to work with two different electoral systems, unless the Buenos Aires government decides to convene other table chiefs.
"We hope that this does not alter the electoral act, that it does not hinder it and that people understand how they have to vote in each case," say judicial sources consulted by Clarín.
