Even if it meant choking on smoke inhalation, teenagers took their very first cigarette a few years ago to show that they were independent and free. Now they refuse to smoke for the same reasons.
"I don't want to be a prisoner of this consumption," says Édouard, 17. This high school student from the west of Paris is one of those young people who, more and more numerous today, turn their backs on the pack of "cigarettes".
"It's not good for your health and it's causing a real ecological disaster," continues Édouard. Like all teenagers of his age, he keeps in mind this vertiginous data that circulates in a loop on social networks: 4500 billion cigarette butts thrown each year in nature.
