The district Greens have sent the previous Fischbachau local group into legal independence: There is now a separate local association in the Leitzach Valley.
Leitzachtal - There has already been a local Green group in Fischbachau in the Leitzachtal, which is also represented in the municipal council with Evi Köhler and Korbinian Wolf. The same was true – until he left the party – for the neighbouring town of Bayrischzell with municipal councillor Willy Kravanja.
Now a formal local association has been founded from the merger in Fischbachau. Until now, the group was legally subordinate to the district association, but now it is independent.

After the panel discussion, the Green Party members in Aurach elected Gisela Göttfried and Alexander Baic to the association's board as equal spokespersons and chairmen of the board. Annette Haugg was also unanimously elected as an assessor.
Georg Kammholz, spokesman for the Green District Association of Miesbach, explains in a press release: "With the founding of this local association, the local group, which is very active in local politics, is becoming legally independent after more than three years." Kammholz praises the development as a big step "towards the complete greening of our beautiful district".
Founding a "logical step"
The name "Die Grünen Leitzachtal" should include not only Bayrischzell, but also all districts of Fischbachau, explains Kammholz when asked. The foundation itself is a "logical step" - "we have been active in the Leitzach Valley for three years and have been represented in the Fischbachau municipal council since 2020." nap
