After the police suspected that the divorced man murdered his ex-wife and son in Netanya, it now turns out that the bodies found in the apartment belonged to the divorced man, both in their forties. Police now suspect that the perpetrator of the murder is the couple's son. He has now been arrested a few hours after the bodies were found.
Police Spokesperson's Office (Sharon): "The police have now arrested a resident of the city in his twenties in Netanya as part of the investigation into the double murder incident today. At this stage, the victims, who are in their forties, have not yet been definitively identified
"Following the announcement regarding a suspected double murder incident today in Netanya, at the end of an assessment headed by Central Crime Command Sergeant Yair Hetzroni, the investigation was assigned to the Special Crime Fighting Unit in the Sharon area.
"Meanwhile, forensic investigators are continuing at this time, in accordance with the circumstances of the scene, the work of scientific identification of the two victims, who are in their 2s and has been ruled out as mother and son. The bodies will be transferred to the Institute of Forensic Medicine for a final identification process and examination of the circumstances.
"As stated, all directions are being examined, and as part of the investigation, the unit has now arrested a suspect involved – a resident of the city in his twenties who is brought to the Hilp offices, along with seizing findings in his vicinity that may be relevant to the investigation.
