A 17-year-old teenager was killed with a firearm in the Saarland town of Schiffweiler. An 18-year-old has been arrested for an alleged homicide, as the Saarbrücken police headquarters announced early Tuesday morning. According to previous investigations, the later victim, a witness and the suspect were in the basement of the 18-year-old.
Saarbrücken/Schiffweiler - In the course of the evening, for reasons that have not yet been clarified, "a shot" was fired, killing the 17-year-old, it said. The witness ran away and then alerted the police. They had moved in with "strong forces" and found the suspect and a couple living on the property. Investigators then found the alleged murder weapon and the lifeless body of the victim.
According to the information, a possible motive and the course of events are still unclear. The 18-year-old had been arrested without resistance. He is expected to appear before a magistrate shortly. Dpa
