Gardel Awards 2023: Fito Páez and Divididos, among the first winners

Highlights: At 14 began the delivery of the statuettes to music. At 21 will be the main ceremony, broadcast by Star +.. This Tuesday 16 will be held the 25th edition of the Gardel Awards. The ceremony of the night will be broadcast only online through the Star + streaming platform, hosted by Iván de Pineda. Throughout the night there will be live performances, among them Los Fabulosillacs, Leieco, Callejero Rei, L-Gante, Joaqui Víctorino and Amal.


At 14 began the delivery of the statuettes to music. At 21 will be the main ceremony, broadcast by Star +.


This Tuesday 16 will be held the 25th edition of the Gardel Awards. And although the great ceremony will be at 21 at the Movistar Arena stadium, at 14 started at Teatro Vórterix the delivery of the categories that will not be in the main act.

The ceremony of the night

The "main" award will be broadcast only online through the Star + streaming platform, hosted by Iván de Pineda.

The public will also have access to the moments leading up to the ceremony, through special live coverage from the red carpet by hosts Guillermo Gilabert and Anaís Castro.

Throughout the installment there will be many live performances, among them, those of Trueno, León Gieco, Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, María Becerra, Rei, Callejero Fino, L-Gante, Peipper, DJ Tao, La Joaqui and Víctor Heredia. Silvina Moreno's participation was also added just a few days ago.

Curiously, performances by folk artists were not included this year.

In addition, there will be lifetime achievement awards for Raúl Lavié and Amelita Baltar, who will also sing live.

Special awards

Special mentions will be given to legendary recording technicians Amílcar Gilabert and Mario Breuer.

The nominees

Trueno is the most nominated artist: he has 9 nominations in 7 categories, while Dante Spinetta follows with 7 and Babasónicos adds 6.

Tini is present in 5 categories, while María Becerra, Los Auténticos Decadentes, Bizarrap, Fito Páez, Ciro and Los Persas with the Mendoza Philharmonic Orchestra and Luciano Pereyra compete in 4 categories.

With 3 nominations each, Nathy Peluso, La Konga, Eruca Sativa and Leo Genovese compete.

Album of the Year

With a marked presence of urban and rock artists of great trajectory, in Album of the Year, the highest category of the award that rewards Argentine record productions released in 2022, Trueno (for their album Bien o Mal), María Becerra (for La Nena de Argentina), Babasónicos (for Trinchera Avanzada), Dante Spinetta (for Mesa Dulce) and Ciro y Los Persas with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Mendoza (for Sueños - Un viaje en el tiempo) compete.

Song of the Year
