They do not want to give up too much space to the "left wing" of the Macron camp. Nor leave their priorities in the hands of Republicans or Horizons. In the National Assembly, no less than twenty deputies of the majority group Renaissance are active to push their advantage, after the long protest around the pension reform. In particular on the occasion of the future texts on immigration and labour, expected in Parliament by the end of 2023.
The elected representatives of this informal team, some of whom have created a messaging loop for dialogue, say they share some fixed ideas: "value work", "order" and balance of public accounts. "What distinguishes us from the left wing is perhaps a more anchored attachment to these values," says MP Constance Le Grip. "We must not leave to the LR the monopoly of regal subjects and budgetary seriousness," adds his colleague, Paul Midy.
