At a joint board meeting of the Local Government Center and the Regional Government Center held today (Thursday), it was decided to continue the struggle against the Arnona Fund Law. Among other things, at the meeting it was decided to "pass the measures of the struggle to harm the government and not the residents," and accordingly, to stop the strike in the local authorities and petition the court.
According to a statement they published, the Local Government Center is "preparing for an appeal to the courts that will be submitted at the end of the legislative process of the Arrangements Law." According to them, "The Arnona Fund Law is a distorted law that changes the priorities in the relations between central government and local government. This is an unequal law, based on false data presented by the Ministry of Finance, and promoted in a predatory and illegal manner. The fund does not achieve the goals for which it is claimed to have been established (dealing with the housing crisis), and it is clear that it was promoted for other extraneous considerations."
