Celebrations alongside concerns - threats from Hamas, preparations on the ground and a traditional parade: The Jerusalem District Police is prepared and alert for Jerusalem Day events, especially the flag parade that will pass through Damascus Gate and Jaffa Gate to the Western Wall on Thursday. 3,270 Border Police officers will guard all Jerusalem Day events.
The ascent to the Temple Mount began at 7:00 A.M., and will continue at 12:00 P.M., when a march by right-wing activists begins to end on the Temple Mount. At 17:00 P.M., the traditional flag parade will begin, and at around 19:00 P.M., the marchers are expected to reach the Western Wall.
