MK Avi Maoz (Noam) sent a letter to the cabinet secretary on Friday, threatening that if the funds promised to him are not approved, he will vote against the budget and the coalition will shrink.
"Following your announcement this morning that you will not raise at the upcoming cabinet meeting the decision on the details of the budget of the Jewish National Identity Authority as required by the government decision of last Sunday regarding the coalition agreements, Article 11 (attached hereto is the necessary detail sent to you yesterday), I regret to inform you that unless a government decision is passed approving this detail before approving the budget, I will not be able to support the budget and will even oppose it. This means that the coalition shrinks to only 63 MKs.
"The detail as attached herein is an identical copy with necessary changes, from a list of clauses approved by the government last Sunday and which are mostly in the Ministry of National Missions (under the responsibility of Minister Strzok of the Finance Minister's party).
"Since the detail is copy-paste, I do not see that there can be a legal reason or related to the Ministry of Finance to object to this detail that I gave, and therefore I reiterate my demand to pass a government decision approving the attached detail even before the budget is approved."
