A two-year-old toddler was seriously injured on Saturday after drowning in a private pool at a guest house in Jadida Makr. A medical team that arrived at the scene gave her treatment and evacuated her while she was anesthetized and on a ventilator to the Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya.
MDA paramedic Dan Ryuman said: "When we arrived at the scene, we saw a two-year-old toddler unconscious in the yard by the pool with no breath and no pulse, family members began performing CPR in a telephone briefing from a paramedic at the MDA hotline and with the help of a local medical team who arrived at the scene, her heart started beating again, we continued the medical treatment and evacuated her to the hospital in serious condition and she is anesthetized and on a ventilator."

Last month, a one-and-a-half-year-old toddler drowned to death in a private pool in a house in the community of Be'er Ganim near Ashkelon. An MDA team called to the scene performed CPR on him and evacuated him to Barzilai Medical Center - but despite their efforts, doctors had no choice but to pronounce him dead.
