A 40-year-old man and a 40-year-old woman were seriously and lightly injured in a fire that broke out Sunday morning in a private home in Ganei Tikva.
MDA medics and paramedics provided medical treatment and evacuated the man who was in serious condition with second- and third-degree burns to his face and chest, and after inhaling smoke, anesthetized and on a ventilator, and the woman who sustained minor injuries and felt unwell.
MDA paramedics Yaakov Edri and Anastasia Stelmachov said: "When we arrived at the scene we saw fire and thick smoke inside a private house, outside the house a man and a woman about 40 years old were walking, the man suffered burns to his face and upper body and after he inhaled smoke, we gave him life-saving medical treatment that included anesthesia and ventilation and evacuated him to the hospital in serious and stable condition, the woman felt unwell and after a medical examination we evacuated her for further treatment at the hospital in light condition."
