Gafni added: "I have a granddaughter, this granddaughter works, got married and had a son. She contributes to the country's economy and works in high-tech together with her ultra-Orthodox friends who studied at a seminary in Bnei Brak. Her school was half as budgeted as a comparable state school.

"Every time there are different excuses for it, a private school. They study all the core subjects there and she works in high-tech. But there are people sitting here who say she doesn't deserve it, because she's not supervised. She learns more than a secular student because she learns about the heart of Judaism, not just math and algebra."
