According to the New York Post, royal expert Tom Bower claims that the Princess of Wales was "angry" with the newly crowned queen because of the unfair distribution on the guest list for the coronation on May 6 and refused to curtsey in front of the monarch when she left the abbey. "Camilla brought 20 Parker Bowles' to the coronation and four Middletons," Bower said on the show, later confirming that Kate's parents were there, of course, but neither Pippa Matthews, 39, nor James Middleton, 36, should have brought their spouses.
And something else is a thorn in the side of the expert: the people who were supposed to polish Camilla's image in the run-up to the coronation were also excluded from the exclusive event. In the footage, it can be seen that everyone bowed or curtseyed to the king, "but no one moved a limb, a muscle, as Camilla passed by," he says, describing his observation. Bower went on to explain that anger at the monarch had been felt throughout the nave.

Royal expert Christopher Andersen claims that Camilla "estranged" Prince Harry (38) from his father. "All the people who helped Camilla get the crown on her head were excluded from the coronation, and they were furious," the expert said. "Kate and William were also furious," he reiterates his thesis. The anger was palpable all the way to the throne. Tensions between the princess and Prince William's stepmother lasted until the coronation concert the next day, Bower said. At the concert in Windsor the next day, William did not mention Queen Camilla [in his speech] at all. "The tension remained," says the author.

Apparently, Bower fears that everything is going over Camilla's head: "Those who met her in the weeks leading up to the coronation saw a very tired, very exhausted woman, with telltale signs of age. She's clearly exhausted from the whole thing," he concludes. The fact is, it is not until eleven days after the coronation that Camilla appears in public again and accompanies King Charles to an appointment in Covent Garden.
