What was supposed to be the happiest day of the life of Paige Ruddy of Wisconsin turned into a terrible tragedy. On the eve of her wedding, Ruddy was caught in a fire in her home in Ridsburg, and died a day later of brain death from smoke inhalation.
The incident was recorded on Tuesday, the intended wedding day, when a fire broke out in the house while 19-year-old Rady was sleeping. "She went to bed happy knowing she would wake up and get married," her family said. Despite the great efforts of first responders, Paige could not be saved." She was pronounced dead on Wednesday.

Ruddy and Mitchell-Carter were supposed to hold a small ceremony in front of the family. "She was a dear and kind person, it was impossible not to love her," her aunt said. Her friends added: "She was a person who cared for and helped anyone who needed her."
The two-story house did not have active smoke detectors, which is reminiscent of the great necessity of these detectors, especially in private homes.
