The mayor of Norcia, Nicola Alemanno, will be suspended from his office, following the conviction for abuse of office and the interdiction for the duration of the main sentence, for the story of the temporary headquarters of the pro loco after the earthquake of 2016. This was communicated by Alemanno himself, referring to the Severino law that effectively puts an end to his mandate. Given that he had been sentenced to one year and ten months, while in Norcia there will be a vote for the renewal of the city council in the spring of 2024. The decision will still have to be formalized in the coming days by the prefecture of Perugia.
