NATO and other alliances, Europe, armaments, nuclear deterrence... Within the Nupes, the field of defence is a vast subject of debate. Often old, even historical, they have been manifested for more than a week now in the Assembly, on the occasion of the examination of the draft military programming law (LPM).
The debates are an opportunity for each of the members of the alliance, Insoumis, socialists, communists and ecologists, to express their vision and their own proposals. The positions decide. "We will not say that we agree on nothing, but it is true that we do not agree on everything," jokes an LFI deputy.
A historical divide
On the budget already, ecologists as communists do not want to increase the resources dedicated to defense, when the socialists are in favor of an increase and when the Insoumise propose capability amendments that will cost several billion euros more.
