The "great appointment of music and musicians" which is held until this Sunday evening at the Seine Musicale has proposed in a new

Imagine a concert where you can get as close as possible to the artist, explore every corner of the stage, climb to the ceiling. Or a private show during which a hip-hop singer invites you to do a heist with her. Or imagine that a DJ transports you to the mysteries of a giant pinball machine... All of this is real. But virtual. This existed in the Metaverse.

To open a window on these new possibilities in the field of music, the Musicora show, which is held at the Seine Musicale in Boulogne-Billancourt until Sunday evening with more than 150 exhibitors and concerts, offers in partnership with the Hauts-de-Seine department, new events around technological innovation. They took place in a new place of experimentation around sound and digital, the SeineLab, open to the public since January at the Seine Musicale.

An immersive experience

Workshops for young audiences on artificial intelligence, sound processing or sound design, immersive experiences, surprising conferences... The "great meeting of music and musicians" traditionally frequented by artists of classical, baroque, jazz or rock music, dares a confrontation with the virtual.

As on the occasion of this conference by Louis Cacciuttolo, founder of the French company Vrroom, leader in the production of immersive cultural events on music and the Metaverse. With the help of slides, the former owner of a small theater in Perpignan, plunges the SeineLab audience into the world of virtual concerts of some DJs Minotor, DJ Molecule, rapper Travis Scott on Fortnite or the famous composer Jean-Michel Jarre who invested in virtual worlds with his latest album Oxymore.

Boulogne-Billancourt, 27 May 2023. Louis Cacciuttolo, founder of Vrroom, a leading French company in the production of immersive cultural events, hosts a conference on technological innovations related to music and the metaverse.

"We created Oxyville for him," says Louis Cacciuttolo, a former theatre owner. As the show progresses, the audience explores this city and sees the composer everywhere. Each district of this city represents a movement of the Oxymoron concert, we mix a playful and musical experience. The advantage is that we meet new audiences, younger and gamers. »

To better understand the concept of concerts in the Metavers, Vrroom offers a "bluffing" immersive experience, "Oxymore by Jean-Michel Jarre", to the public equipped with a virtual reality headset. Next September, the company will offer a new version of its technology that will allow any artist without any knowledge of coding to create his own virtual universe, his own stage, his ticketing, his community ...

"A solution for artists struggling to make ends meet"

"The idea is to give power back to the artist without any limitations and a solution for artists who are struggling to make ends meet." The idea is already of interest to some conference participants. "I would love to create the concert of my dreams, with a big stage, the decoration I want, the audience I want," enthuses Franck, bassist and computer scientist who came with his son gamer. It's the possibility of having more audience too because it's not easy to fill scenes. Éric, violinist in a philharmonic orchestra, agrees: "In the virtual world, it seems to be easier to organize, we do not have the same constraints of booking rooms, etc.... »

For the director of Musicora, the show is at a "real crossroads" by addressing these topics. "The Métavers speaks to lovers of new technologies, there we address classical and baroque musicians to show them that the Métavers is a great tool and a new distribution channel not necessarily in opposition to reality," notes François Lachaud.

Musicora continues this Sunday with a giant improvisation at 15:45 pm around Ibrahim Maalouf, godfather of this 32nd edition
