Silvina Luna revealed in the last hours that her younger brother, Ezequiel, who accompanies her in everything, and is one of her pillars in this difficult moment of health that she is going through, offered to donate a kidney to her.
For those who do not remember, the renowned model suffers from a chronic picture of hypercalcemia (high level of calcium) and kidney failure product of malpractice in an aesthetic treatment that Aníbal Lotocki did more than 13 years ago.
Those ailments force her to do dialysis three times a week because of bacteria that entered her body, and her doctors have already warned her that she needs a kidney transplant. In that context, the actress and influencer also told who in her family offered to donate an organ.
"Relatives of mine offered to donate a kidney to me. It's still missing and I don't want to get ahead of myself. First I have to be on the Incucai list," Silvina began by saying on the air of Agarrate Catalina, the radio cycle that Catalina Dlugi conducts every Saturday on La Once Diez/Radio de la Ciudad.
Silvina Luna is doing dialysis treatment three times a week.
He added: "One of the people who volunteered was my brother Ezekiel, but I still have something to talk about it. I know he is there, but everything depends on many things and I want to go step by step. Since I'm missing, I don't want to get ahead of myself."
In addition, about the treatment he is doing Monday, Wednesday and Friday, he said: "To get on the waiting list for a kidney transplant, I first have to beat a bacterium that is going around my body. I have to think of it as a step by step. If I think about everything I have to face, I get a barbaric anxiety."
And as for his moods and the pains he suffers every time he visits the hospital, he said: "What I live and what I share with people who are in it is that you have to live it day by day. How did I get up today? Am I sore? You have to learn to listen to the body. Do I need to stay resting? Ok, I'm staying. Another day I wake up without pain and make the most of it, visit friends, do everything that does me good."
Finally, the former Big Brother said she lives surprised by the enormous amount of messages she receives daily from people offering to accompany her in this difficult moment.
Silvina will need to receive a kidney transplant.
According to her sayings, she receives support from people who do not even know her and even recommend doctors or therapies. "You don't know the nice words they dedicate to me! And that comes in some way or another," Silvina told Catalina during the note.
He added: "It's amazing how many people are offering to donate their organs altruistically. Not just directly to me. 'I need to help someone else,' they tell me. What happens is that very little is said about this. First you have to know that we can live with only one kidney."
"To be transplanted, before you do all kinds of studies, and the same goes for the person who offers himself as a donor. And if there is any possibility that someone will have problems later or that the procedure may put their health at risk, they will not do it," Silvina explained.
And he closed: "What happened with Jorge Lanata, for example, is that his ex-wife, Sara Stewart Brown, donated a kidney, but it was not compatible. So, a cross-donation was made..."
It is worth clarifying that Ezequiel, who is five years younger than Silvina, was the one who accompanied her unconditionally when she had to be hospitalized last year while participating in the first edition of El hotel de los famosos (El Trece).
