LEFIGARO. - How do you feel about this final?
Arslane. - I avoid analyzing the situation too much (laughs). There are ups and downs. Although overall I am very happy to be here, I also feel sad. I don't want the adventure to end, it's so beautiful, intense and extraordinary. I am afraid of the void that will set in.

How was the choice of your title, Lettre à France by Michel Polnareff, decided?
It tells a story. From the moment I identify with the lyrics, I can embody the song. If I don't find myself in the lyrics, I'll just sing not perform. I feel like last week with Adagio, I still had things, vocally speaking, to prove to the public who maybe doubted that. Tonight, I hope to provide emotion, show a vocal performance and my progress throughout this song.

Do you feel any kind of pressure? You are from the beginning, one of the big favorites.
I don't see it as extra pressure because I'm so myself that I don't consider myself a "favorite".
I tell myself that every step of "The Voice" is an appointment and if it is missed, you are no longer the favorite. It doesn't take much to stop being so. You always have to stay connected to reality.

"There have been friendships, even loves!"

Arslane opens up about the atmosphere between the talents of "The Voice"

What is the atmosphere like between the finalists?
There is a sense of group cohesion. The boys are real nice people, good people. You can feel it. Even if we are in a competition, we try to get out of this state of mind. Since the beginning, we have shared convivial moments together. There have been friendships, even loves...

How do you feel about sharing the final with Micha, also a talent at Amel Bent?
I'm glad Micha is here, with him I'm not bored! He's funny, I like to chat with him. We work together and give each other little tips. For me, reaching the final together is a gift we had to give to our coach. Amel Bent is true, authentic both in everyday life and artistic. There, I feel extra pressure because my responsibility is to succeed for her. After that, I don't know if people will vote for him or me, or our team. I just don't want the votes to split between him and me!

What was your reaction when you qualified last week for the final?
I live my emotions in a very intense way but I show them in a very moderate way. When the results were announced, I was happy but I kept a form of modesty towards the other participants.

"Even after the show, I don't intend to let him down"

Arslane confides in his relationship with Mr. Cabane whom he takes care of on a daily basis.

How did you experience the presence in the audience of Monsieur Cabane?
Before my performance, there was a tape recorder and every time I heard his voice, I restrained myself from crying. If I try to keep a distance to protect myself, we have created a bond, an intergenerational friendship. Even after "The Voice," I don't intend to let it down.

How does he perceive your background?
He is proud, happy and thinks that I have evolved on all levels. From the beginning, he advises me not to change, to sing from the heart. This is how I will touch people's hearts.

It seems that you are fans of Aya Nakamura, with whom you will share a collegiate tonight...
(Laughter). I love him, I feel like his titles. I am happy with these artistic encounters. I would never have had the opportunity to share the stage with her, David Guetta or Vitaa without "The Voice". This is an incredible opportunity.
