Two weeks after the closing of the lists, the Chief of Cabinet, Agustín Rossi, ratified his pre-candidacy for president for the Frente de Todos (FdT), remarked that he only goes down "if he does not measure in the polls" and, when marking his differences with Alberto Fernández for the Media Law, launched: "I did not choose Alberto as a candidate in 2019".
"We are in the middle of a debate about the convenience or not of a synthesis, convenience or not of PASO. Regardless of my pre-candidacy, it would be a mistake to force a synthesis that does not exist today," said Agustín Rossi on Friday.
"
If the synthesis existed, we would have already known it, and the truth is that it does not exist because there is no candidate who measures more than 20 points individually. There is no one who can concentrate the majority expectations of the whole," added the cabinet chief, who asks for PASO to define the candidacies.

"Forcing a synthesis today is as if in 2019, after we knew Cristina and Alberto's formula, someone had said they wanted PASO. Now it is clear that there is nothing synthesizing and we want to force it."
Among his projects as a pre-candidate, he already announced that he would restore the Media Law of Kirchnerism, but marked his differences with Alberto Fernández, both in the past and now. "I was president of the bloc and he had a critical eye at that time. I did not choose Alberto as a candidate. When Cristina decided, I guess all those things must have been discussed," Rossi told AM 530.
And he stressed: "A few days ago the President gave a report and reaffirmed his position in the opposite way when I had already said that if I was elected President I would immediately repeal Macri's decrees and I start to make a campaign to modernize everything that is the media law. We all knew, I don't feign insanity."
