This Friday, in the preview of the Champions League final that Inter Milan and Manchester City of England will play this Saturday at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul, former footballer Diego Milito clarified that he is not thinking of being "president of Racing", where he is an idol and historical reference, after his distancing from the current president Víctor Blanco.

"Today I'm not thinking about being president of Racing. I'm thinking about enjoying the moment and the family, which is what I love," Milito said in a dialogue with Urbana Play radio, about an alleged candidacy in the elections that the Academy will have in December 2024.

Milito left his position as sports director of the Academy a few months before the last elections are held in the Avellaneda club, due to differences he had with the board headed by Victor Blanco.

On that occasion, the Prince announced his departure from the club after having been occupying his position for two years and 11 months, through a video exposed in his personal social networks which was counterattacked by the institution with a statement where they stressed that "the institution is always ahead of any personal interest".

On the other hand, Milito, who won the Orejona in 2010 being protagonist in Inter, detailed a talk with Lautaro Martínez, with whom he shares a past in the Italian club and in Racing, and commented that "he comes in a great season".

Milito and Lautaro, two similar stories.

The Neroazzurro returned to a new Champions League final after 13 years of having played that one in 2010 where they emerged victorious, after a difficult stage from the sporting side. "You have to enjoy the road, it's not easy to get there. Inter has to enjoy it and hopefully it can be given," said Diego.

"

It's not easy, City are a great rival, they have a great coach (Pep Guardiola) and a great team. You have to respect it, but I think Inter have their weapons to make a great game, "he said.
