After two successful editions, Hutzot Shefayim's Food Trax Festival is once again conquering everyone's stomachs

If you happened to pass Route 65 south, you probably passed the Alon commercial complex at the entrance to Kibbutz Ein Shemer. Surprisingly enough for such a sleepy complex, for the past five years it has been wearing a lively atmosphere for one evening with colorful food truck stalls and a DJ station playing sweeping electronic music in the background. On this evening it becomes one of the most interesting underground food festivals in the Sharon area.

From the Shemer Gourmet Festival,

This is the fifth year that the "Gourmet Basmer 5" festival will be held under the auspices of Dor Alon, this time on June 15 starting at 18:00. "The event gives a stage and exposure to talented chefs from around the country, who cannot enjoy the food in restaurants, but only in pop-ups, private events and the like," explains Dor Cohen, who is behind the initiative and owner of the boutique deli market "The Pantry".

All dishes at the event, to which admission is free, will be sold for up to 45 NIS. For example, you can find a food track of authentic Japanese street food from Kaiyo Naya. The two, a mother and her daughter, came to Israel from Japan and live today in Pardes Hanna. They serve authentic Asian dishes made with quality ingredients. At the event, they will serve a Japanese stir-fry dish "yaki soba" and the traditional Japanese candy "mochi" which they will prepare by hand.

You will also be able to enjoy a food track by Chef Nir Carmeli, who was a chef in the R2M Group and now holds private events. Carmeli will set up a "Greek tavern" with different types of souvlaki that will be served with a lot of small toppings from the Greek cuisine. Chef Gadi Blau, who produces delicious handmade sausages made from 100% meat, will also serve a bun with sausage like in Germany and handmade biltong (dried South African meat) at the event.

Pantry sandwich,

Amit Schoenfeld, who recently opened a pastry shop in Kibbutz Ein Shemer called AMOR, will serve crazy crack pie, lemon pie and a croissant stuffed with berries and wonderful creams. A food track stand of Cohen's "pantry" will also be set up at the event and will serve a cloud pita steamed in a special technique with "hairs" Pondera smoked for 18 hours and cooked in a vintage of wine, gin and homemade bharat with a little arisa, amba, refreshing salad and raw tahini. Alongside the food, you will be able to sip a delicious drink of beer or a cocktail made in Israel from a special alcohol bar.

DJ Omar Bauer, who will play music in the background, will also host the band "Angtha" for a live electronic show. A children's area will also be built in the plaza.
