Munich - A Porsche driver, under the influence of cocaine, touched a civilian emergency vehicle in front of the Munich police headquarters and tried to trick him with fake urine during the subsequent drug check. The 42-year-old from Landshut had been looking for a parking space in downtown Munich on Tuesday with his luxury car – and spotted a gap in front of the presidium.

Munich: 42-year-old touches police car under the influence of drugs

Although only emergency vehicles are allowed to stand there, he tried to park and touched a police car - this was observed by the house guard of the presidium. When the accident was recorded, the officers then noticed drug-typical abnormalities and asked the Landshuter for a urine test. The 42-year-old tried to manipulate this with synthetic urine, which he had with him in a small bag. "We have noticed that, but the people are not completely unobserved in these tests," said a police spokesman on Wednesday. Another test with proper urine then confirmed cocaine use.

Deception in the urine test is not a criminal offense

"The deception in the urine test is not a criminal offense," explained the police spokesman. It behaves similarly to the accused, who are also allowed to lie during an interrogation. However, the man's behavior in the evaluation of the accusation of having driven a car under drugs is likely to have an aggravating effect on the sentence, since intent instead of negligence can be assumed because of the fake urine he carried.

After a complaint for endangering road traffic, the 42-year-old was released. The Porsche was towed to the police depot. The accident resulted in a total damage of around 1000 euros. The Munich traffic police have taken up the investigation. Just recently, a man wearing a ski mask pushed an 18-year-old woman off her bike in the English Garden. (je/dpa/lby)
