Those who will get to see the work are all those who land in Israel, including foreign tourists who in recent days have had to stand in lines that stretch there for a long time during part of the day. The huge picture was deployed at the exact spot where tourists were waiting for passport control.

The piece, "Am Yisrael Chai", was created at the initiative of Ilan, which works to strengthen relations between Israel and Central and South American countries, and to the Hispanic community in the United States. It will begin its journey at Ben Gurion Airport, and will later be placed in places of historical and state value throughout the country, after which it will be transferred to Jewish communities around the world in Europe, South America and the United States.

The painting in question depicts thousands of years of Jewish history, from the creation of Adam through the creation of the people of Israel, the forefathers of the nation, the Exodus from Egypt, the Temple, prophets and kingdoms, the exiles in Spain and Ashkenaz, the sages of Spain and Hasidism, the Zionist vision and creation from Herzl through all Zionist activists, Rabbi Kook and Rabbi Herzog, the terrible Holocaust, immigration to Israel and the establishment of the state. A very significant chapter tells the story of the State of Israel in its 75 years through creation, development, wars, innovation, landscapes and roads, its leaders, scientists, thinkers and culture and all the significant formative events of our state, our people and our independent land.

The initiative began about a year ago with the blessing of President Isaac Herzog on the occasion of Israel's 75th birthday. The work was launched several months ago in Mexico, at a ceremony attended by Mexican Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard, heads of Jewish communities in South America and other local ministers.

Isaac Asa, Founder and President of Ilan: "Together with the members of the organization and heads of communities in Latin America, we were privileged to complete the most comprehensive and detailed mural project in the history of the Jewish people and in the entire world – in fact, it is the only place in the world where the heritage and history of a people is concentrated in one place and in an accessible and artistic way, with which everyone can understand, be moved and identify. The people of Israel have come a long way throughout the generations, the Jewish people have contributed to all of humanity values of morality and social solidarity and innovation. We carried out a complex logistical operation in order to bring the mural to Israel, so that anyone who enters Israel will be able to see with his own eyes the story of history, the future and the significant contribution of the Jewish people and the State of Israel to the family of nations."
