The Kohelet Forum responded to what has been happening in recent days surrounding the reform, saying: "If circumstances do not allow for a useful and sustainable reform in the composition of the Judicial Selection Committee now, it is better to focus on other areas.The solutions on the agenda regarding the powers of the Attorney General and the grounds of reasonableness are moderate and necessary, and it can be assumed that in normal times they would have gained broad agreement.
We recommend advancing these solutions at this time in order to enable the government to focus on the other challenges of the State of Israel in the fields of economy, security and internal security."

A senior government official outlined the timetable — and it's very close. According to the official involved in promoting the legal reform: "We will pass the reasonableness grounds on second and third readings by the end of the current session."
