The coronavirus pandemic is long behind us, but the pandemic that followed is actually related to strikes in the aviation and transportation world.

It all began last year, when many strikes hit the United States and European countries, and now we see a long list of strikes expected to take place across Europe, with quite a chance that this list will be extended.

An example of this can be found in the UK, where security workers at Heathrow Airport are on strike for 31 days from this month until the end of August. The strike is expected to affect passenger traffic at Britain's largest airport and there may be disruptions, delays and cancellations throughout the summer. The remaining dates for the strike that has already begun there are June 30-28, 16-14, 24-21 and 31-28 July, 14-11, 20-18 and 27-24 August.

In Italy, baggage workers went on strike on Monday, a strike is expected on July 7 for the country's public transport, and eight days later, on July 15, an air traffic control strike will begin in the country of the boot. All this is in addition to the strike that took place on Tuesday, when security staff at Milan airport went on strike.

In Spain, a strike by employees of Air Europa, an airline that also flies to Israel, is expected to strike, along with a strike by a company that does not operate flights to Israel, called Air Nostra, during which the airline's pilots will go on strike. In neighboring Portugal, a three-day strike at Lisbon airport ended yesterday, and a strike by border workers will take place on June 26-24.

In addition, today and tomorrow there is a strike by public transport workers in Toulouse, France. It is important to note that it has not yet been decided when the next day of protests will take place in the country regarding raising the retirement age, but previous days of protest also had an impact on those flying to and from the country.

In Sweden, a strike by airport security workers is expected to take place on July 3, and if agreements are not signed, it could continue until July 7. In Germany, discussions are underway about a possible transport strike, with a possible pilots' strike in July at German airline Lufthansa.
