We don't need lectures about the "bloody price of life in this country." The lecture is our daily routine, every day.
We have no need for words of reconciliation and reassurance about the "heroic settlers." They don't bring anyone back to life. We were also satisfied with the investigations and reconstructions and snuff videos. They don't contribute anything, and especially don't prevent the next attack. What is needed is action. Instantly. Determined. Powerful. And accurate. Yes, military action. Not ridiculous conversations in Aqaba. And no idle conferences in Sharm el-Sheikh.

Whoever forbade his subordinates to respond to this daily humiliation was forced to rescue them under inferno fire from a South Lebanese IED in Jenin.

The people of Israel deserve security, and they have paid a heavy enough price in blood to know that Arab terror does not stop at the Green Line or the separation fence. Those who do not embark on a crushing operation in Jenin will receive IEDs, gunfire and Samaritan rockets in Tel Aviv. And whoever withdraws from Jenin will get Hamastan 2 in Samaria, just as happened in Gaza. That lesson has already been learned.
Netanyahu and Galant announced immediately after the attack "urgent assessments of the situation." Well, they were convened 24 hours too late. Because, as noted, it is not the fatalities that are the measure of the urgency of the situation, but the severity of the events. The emergency discussions should have been convened after an IDF convoy boarded a Hezbollah bomb in Jenin on Monday and spent an entire day under booby-trapped fire from the terrorists, making it barely possible to rescue them. So the bells had to be rung.

The discussions that the two convened were also few and late. Netanyahu and Galant should summon the cabinet and send IDF forces deep into the nests of terror. 140 years of Zionism have taught us that this is the only way to stop terrorism.
