Deadly day on the roads: Two pedestrians were hit earlier today (Thursday) by a vehicle at the corner of David Elazar Street and Carmel Street in Kfar Saba. MDA medics and paramedics gave an 80-year-old man and a 74-year-old woman medical treatment and evacuated them to Meir Hospital in serious and unstable condition with multi-systemic injuries.

MDA paramedic Nadim Asi said: "The man and woman suffered very severe multi-system injuries. They were lying unconscious on the road. Bystanders at the scene told us that the man had been trapped under the vehicle and rescued before we arrived. We gave them life-saving medical treatment at the scene and quickly evacuated them to nearby Meir Hospital in serious and unstable condition."
In addition, on Yad Labanim Road in Haifa, an accident occurred between an electric bicycle rider and a vehicle. MDA medics and paramedics from the Carmel area provided medical treatment to a 20-year-old man with a severe head injury and evacuated him to Rambam Hospital while he was anesthetized and on a ventilator.

MDA emergency medic Baruch Linsha said: "The cyclist was lying on the road unconscious and suffering from a head injury after being hit by a vehicle. We gave him advanced medical treatment in the field, which included bandages, splints and pain medication, and evacuated him in an intensive care vehicle to the hospital while continuing treatment when his condition was serious."

At the same time, a 23-year-old man tripped and fell while boarding a bus on Alufei Tzahal Street in Holon. MDA medics and paramedics gave him medical treatment at the scene and evacuated him to Ichilov Hospital in serious condition with a head injury.
Also in the afternoon, a 30-year-old woman was killed in a two-vehicle accident on Route 40, near Ramat Boker. According to data from the Road Safety Authority, since the beginning of the year, 176 people have been killed, three more than in the same period last year.
