MDA medical teams were called Friday morning to Argaman Beach in Acre following reports of a man being pulled unconscious from the sea. Medics and paramedics gave him medical treatment and evacuated him to the Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya while performing CPR.
"When we reached the beach, we teamed up with the rescuers who treated the man," said senior medics from MDA's motorcycle unit, Yehuda and Shimon Dahan. "He appeared unconscious in the water to us and they pulled him out. We continued the medical treatment and evacuated him while performing CPR to hospital in critical condition."
The Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya said: "An 80-year-old man who drowned on a beach in Acre was brought. His condition is defined as critical and he is undergoing CPR in the shock room, which was started by MDA in the field."
